Not so far ago, software that is declared to be si&#116&#101&#32content analyzers pays attention to the position o&#102&#32&#107eyword(s) in title of the page. Best mark is given&#32&#116&#111 pages, where keyword(s) holds first position in t&#105&#116&#108e. For instance, if our keyword is “apple”, th&#101&#110&#32such title “apple that tastes perfectly” will &#114&#101&#99e<s></s>ive better mark than “perfectly tasting apple&#157&#46&#32

Such attention of software <s></s>developers to position&#32&#111&#102 a keyword in page title made me interested in thi&#115&#32&#115ubject, therefore I have tried to check it in prac&#116&#105&#99e. I have a site that contains index page, categor&#105&#101&#115 of products and product pages. Primarily, the tit&#108&#101&#115 were “site name, keyword” on the index page a&#110&#100&#32“category name, keyword” on category page. I h&#97&#118&#101 changed places having put keywords before other w&#111&#114&#100s.

As a result, after cache update, site index dro&#112&#112&#101d 3 positions down, category pages dropped 10 posi&#116&#105&#111ns down. SERPs in this field stayed steady for thr&#101&#101&#32months, inlucing update time, so I hardly believe &#116&#104&#105s drop concerns something other than title changes&#46
&#10
&#78ow I have put everything back, but still there are&#32&#110&#111 resul<s></s>ts. I shall inform you about changes, if the&#121&#32&#111ccur immediately.

Maybe you have any opinions con&#99&#101&#114ning subject of this post?
